MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Maintenance Superintendent to join our vehicle sustainment team in Pearl Harbor, HI. The selected candidate will provide cradle-to-grave maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of U.S. Air Force War Reserve Materiel (WRM) and Rapid Airfield Damage Recovery (RADR) vehicles and equipment postured within the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) area of operations on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees all ground vehicle and equipment maintenance operations, scheduling, repairs, logistics and record-keeping using specialized systems.
  • Leads, manages and assigns work orders to as required to maintenance technicians.
  • Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations and maintains knowledge of processes and equipment provides timely and accurate reporting to program leadership.
  • Performs mechanical and electronic troubleshooting to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems.
  • Troubleshoots issues that arise and notifies maintenance department of equipment problems.
  • Ensures employee compliance with safety regulations, policies, procedures, and training requirements.
  • Forecasts funding needs, evaluates requirements, and allocates resources effectively.
  • Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
  • Provides formal, over the shoulder, and on the spot training. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four (4) + years' mechanical experience and a related BA/BS Degree OR 10 years of maintenance supervisory experience.
  • Up to 50% Travel Required.   
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with proven ability to lead, manage, and mentor teams to meet operational objectives and maintain high performance standards.
  • Maintains oversight and compliance in accordance with regulatory regulations such as CFR, FIAR, OSHA, AFOSH, and other federal, country, state requirements.
  • Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, and multi-meters; experience following industry or military troubleshooting procedures.
  • Experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and pumping schematics for troubleshooting and repair actions.  
  • Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in documenting, and reporting Service Bulletins (SBs) and Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) compliance actions.
  • Experience and understanding of the Air Force’s or like fleet management and support systems, including compliance with asset Life-Cycle Management.
  • Experience with maintaining/managing Air Force WRM & RADR vehicles & equipment.
  • Familiarity with the Air Force’s Electronic Technical Manual System (ETIMS), AF Technical Orders, and various Commercial Manuals for maintenance and repairs.
  • AF Fleet Management & Analysis experience.  Understanding and use of Air Force Forms 4354, 4355, AFTO 91. Familiarity with T.O. 36-1-191, AFI 24-302, AFI 24-301.
  • Experience related to corrosion prevention or removal in commercial or military industry.   
  • Air Force Specialty Codes 2T371, 2T377, 2T390, 2T300 or equivalent.
     

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting this position. Also, must be able to obtain and maintain active Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
  • Must be able to work in high noise areas.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.


The projected compensation range for this position is $63,800.00-$105,400.00.
