MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Test Engineer to join our team in Fort Detrick, Maryland.  This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Expanded telework options are available for exceptional candidates on a case-by-case basis.

This position supports a pivotal Defense Health Agency (DHA) program within our Health Portfolio. This role serves as a member of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) team and is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and executing manual and automated tests. This role provides functional and technical testing solutions for complex systems, preparing comprehensive test plans, scripts, scenarios, designs and cases for both manual and automated testing, in addition to integration, regression and performance/stress testing.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated testing using tools such as Selenium, QTP, Postman/Newman.
  • Develop and execute SQL and NoSQL scripts to ensure database integrity.
  • Perform Accessibility testing using Deque-axe Tool, ANDI, and screen readers ensuring compliance with 508 standards.
  • Test APIs using tools like Swagger, SoapUI, and Postman.
  • Report and track defects using JIRA, Serena Business Manager, and other software tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CM, Database, Development, and Business Analysts and identify areas for automation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT-related field and 2 years of related testing experience; or 6 years of related experience.
  • Experience developing test automation with a test automation framework
  • Proficient in programming languages: JAVA, XML, PL/SQL, HTML, and CSS
  • Knowledgeable in configuration management tools: JIRA, Confluence, Git, Serena Business Manager (SBM).
  • Ability to receive DHS 508 trusted tester certification within 3 months of start date
  • Experienced with 508 Compliance tools: ANDI, JAWS, and Deque Axe Dev Tools Pro Browser extension.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Experienced with SQL and NoSQL databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Experience with Reporting and Analytics testing
  • Experience supporting MEDLOG IT PMO Defense Medical Logistics – Enterprise Solution (DML-ES) suite of applications

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and willing and able to obtain a Public Trust suitability and undergo a Tier 3 Investigation for DoD Common Access Card (CAC) eligibility only

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

The projected compensation range for this position is $77,200.00-$128,800.00.
