MANTECH seeks a highly motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer (L4) to join our Intelligent Engineering Practice. This is a remote position where you will lead the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to developing systems models for a cutting-edge Proliferated Low Earth Orbit (PLEO) global communications network.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing complex, modular, and extensible representations of satellite communications (SATCOM) architectures using Cameo.
  • Leading the derivation of intermediate logical layers using "middle-out" inference techniques to identify innovative solutions based on high-level technical data.
  • Architecting multi-domain models capturing space, ground, and user segments while ensuring end-to-end API connectivity for the System’s Pathway Portal.
  • Generating and maintaining systems software engineering policies and procedures for configuration control and version history using Teamwork Cloud (TWC).
  • Ensuring system models are successfully implemented to guarantee compatibility with USSF workflows and DoW digital thread environments.
  • Communicating complex concepts to stakeholders and influencing teams to adopt advanced MBSE methodologies.
  • Working with all stakeholders to ensure complete and functioning systems that meet all requirements and technical standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of relevant systems engineering experience in defense or aerospace environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML (1.6 or v2 equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience developing model-based architectures for SATCOM, space systems, or complex defense platforms.
  • Hands-on experience modeling application programming interfaces (API) or system interfaces within digital workflows.
  • Proven ability to work independently, solving complex problems with specialized depth and minimal guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active OCSMP (OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional) or similar MBSE credentials.
  • Deep understanding of Multi-Orbit/Multi-Band (MOMB) mission planning or hybrid-space architectures.
  • Familiarity with modeling complex telecommunications standards, such as Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO).
  • Self-starter with excellent people skills who can drive change and technical excellence throughout an organization.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

The projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00.
