MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Research Scientist to join our team in College Park, Maryland.  The position will support the RF & Applied Electromagnetics team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The lab contributes to a wide variety of tasks, which requires a wide breadth of experience including RF design, software development, machining/fabrication, repairs, communication, instruction, and mentorship.​
  • Plan laboratory research.
  • Conduct feasibility studies.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activities and research.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ​Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering or similar with coursework focus on electromagnetics/RF/antenna engineering and 4 years of experience using FEKO, HFSS, CST and COMSOL for modeling of electromagnetic structures and scenarios.
  • A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar with coursework focus on electromagnetics/RF/antenna engineering can be substituted for 2 years of experience using FEKO, HFSS, CST and COMSOL for modeling of electromagnetic structures and scenarios
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with designing antennas at the HF band, such as loop or helical antennas
  • Experience with drone-based measurement
  • Experience with machining, manufacturing, production, repair, and communication amongst diverse audiences is imperative

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods (50% of the time) and operate computer equipment and office machinery. Regular communication with co-workers, management, and customers.


The projected compensation range for this position is $104,200.00-$172,900.00.
