MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to join our team at Elgin Air Force Base, Florida. This is an onsite position.
The Computer Systems Engineer/Architect, Senior, functions as a lead technical authority in the design, development, and implementation of complex enterprise architectures. You will analyze system requirements to create high-level architectural specifications and ensure that the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and synchronized with organizational priorities. You will provide strategic technical guidance to ensure mission success within the ICON environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leads the architectural design, development, and implementation of complex computer systems and network infrastructures and conducts high-level system analysis to determine requirements and translate them into scalable architectural specifications.
- Provide senior oversight of software sustainment, maintenance, and development for major projects, including managing Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and status updates and supervise performance for technical assessments and determine the acceptability of software and hardware components.
- Evaluates and recommends improvements for emerging technologies, system software, and related business processes and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure system architectures are synchronized with organizational priorities and security standards.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex architectural and system-level issues, documenting root causes and preventative measures and support user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and data fixes while obtaining, compiling, and summarizing technical information for organizational use.
- Provides expert-level documentation and technical specifications for the planning and implementation of new or upgraded IT infrastructure and mentors and provides technical leadership to subordinate project staff and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) technical leads.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or IT related field and 9 years of proven experience on the above-identified work responsibilities or equivalencies of a High School Diploma and 13 years of experience, or Associates degree and 11 years of experience, or a Master’s degree and 7 years of experience, or a PhD and 5 years of experience would be accepted.
- Five (5) years of position-specific relevant experience in systems architecture, enterprise engineering, or complex infrastructure design.
- Experience with supporting DoD Budget Performance and Formulation applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in an IT-related discipline.
- Experience with MBSE tools and methodologies.
- Relevant industry standard certifications.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies (SAFe, Kanban, etc.).
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility prior to starting this position.
- Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN) eligibility required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The projected compensation range for this position is $115,800.00-$193,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
