MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Combat Systems Engineer to join our team working in Washington D.C. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 - 4 days in office per week.
As a Senior Combat Systems Engineer, you will provide critical engineering support focusing on the development and modernization of Navy computing infrastructure. You will be part of a fast-paced team environment that supports the evolution of shipboard systems, leveraging your expertise to solve complex systems engineering challenges.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support strategic planning and execution of initiatives to modernize computing and data center infrastructure across U.S. Navy combat ships
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet objectives, stay on schedule, and remain within budget
Participate in the full program lifecycle, including requirements development, risk analysis, implementation, and stakeholder engagement
Analyze program performance data to identify trends, assess risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies
Design infrastructure solutions that account for the physical constraints of shipboard environments, including power, cooling, and space limitations
Prepare technical documentation, including program status reports, system specifications, and stakeholder presentations
Facilitate team meetings and communications to maintain alignment on project goals and deliverables
Assist with developing and executing risk management plans to ensure program success
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a technical or business field and 10+ years of relevant Navy Combat Systems and/or Program Management experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 15+ years of relevant Navy Combat Systems and/or Program Management experience in lieu of Masters degree
Experience in a senior role on a Navy acquisition program
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant Navy uniformed service experience (senior enlisted or officer) in a combat systems role on an AEGIS platform
Demonstrated knowledge of Navy Combat System modernization programs
Experience in DoD systems architectures, design, development, test and
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required and a current or active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $150,900.00-$268,500.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
