MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented SAP ABAP Developer join our team in Fort Detrick, Maryland. This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Expanded telework options are available for exceptional candidates on a case-by-case basis.
MANTECH is seeking a senior SAP ABAP Developer for a mission-critical role supporting a Department of War (DoW) client in Frederick, MD. The ideal candidate will leverage their ABAP expertise in SAP application development and enhancement to support a pivotal Defense Health Agency (DHA) program. This position is integral to a project team focused on Medical Logistics (MEDLOG) business processes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, and implement SAP ABAP applications and interfaces within SAP NetWeaver, ECC 6.0, and BI/BW environments.
- Build and maintain ABAP RICEFW objects, including full lifecycle development, testing, debugging, documentation, and support.
- Analyze business requirements, validate scope, recommend process improvements, and contribute to level-of-effort (LOE) estimates.
- Produce and maintain SAP technical design and specification documentation.
- Perform unit, integration, release, and user acceptance testing to ensure functional accuracy and system readiness.
- Support production operations and release management activities.
- Modernize SAP user interfaces by developing Fiori/new-dimension applications, modeling OData services, and deploying apps within Launchpad environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have active CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ CE or higher certification.
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience.
- Proficiency in the ABAP language, including ABAP Objects, ABAP Workbench, and both procedural and object-oriented programming.
- Knowledge of SAP modules like Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), Funds Management (FM), PM/PP are a plus.
- Strong understanding of the ABAP Data Dictionary (DDIC) for managing data definitions.
- Experience with SAPscript, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms for creating and customizing output documents
- Knowledge of interface technologies like IDocs, Proxies, BAPIs, and web services (SOAP/REST) for integrating SAP with other systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Public Sector SAP experience preferred.
- Experience with medical logistics is preferred.
- Experience with newer SAP technologies such as S/4HANA, SAP Gateway, OData services, and Fiori.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and willing and able to obtain a Public Trust suitability and undergo a Tier 3 Investigation for DoD Common Access Card (CAC) eligibility only
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The projected compensation range for this position is $128,800.00-$214,500.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
