MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Analysis Program Development (SAP) Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) Developer to join our team. This is a remote position.

 

The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) uses the ABAP development stack to develop end user business applications, and you would be responsible for complex business and system analysis, design, coding, and testing for current and proposed enterprise application environments. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting translation of business area customer information into detailed enterprise application design.
  • Interacting with SAP Functional Consultants and client team members to perform analysis of alternatives and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in all phases of software development and delivery: from research and prototyping, design and architecture, through implementation and testing, to deployment, support and operations.
  • Build advance knowledge of development processes and product standards.
  • Developing programming specifications, diagrams, and coding logic flowcharts for enterprise application modifications and installations.
  • Work as part of a development team, collaborating with others to ensure project success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of SAP ECC Development Experience. And additional four years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. 
  • Significant knowledge of data structures, algorithms and solid experience in coding. 
  • Good understanding of software architecture principles, modern cloud architecture and design of enterprise software systems.
  • Experience working across a large team to drive deliverables with excellent communication skills, proven in relations with teammates as well as with customers and external stakeholders.
  • Must possess a current Security+ certificate.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex information technology documentation.
  • Good knowledge of user interfaces, SAP development tools, UI frameworks and SAP Business Technology Platform.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and be willing and able to undergo a Tier 2 Investigation with favorable results prior to starting this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.


The projected compensation range for this position is $94,800.00-$157,200.00.
