Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the end-to-end execution of a high-priority technical project, ensuring all internal workstreams remain synchronized with the broader programmatic framework and the CTO’s core objectives.
Manage the project-specific budget with precision, tracking expenditures against forecasts and optimizing spend to ensure high-value delivery within established contract values and financial constraints.
Direct the strategic allocation of project resources—including specialized engineering talent, cloud infrastructure, and hardware—to maintain high-velocity execution and eliminate technical bottlenecks.
Establish and maintain a rigorous project schedule, defining critical milestones and success criteria to ensure the on-time delivery of complex system capabilities and technical requirements.
Translate high-level mission objectives into actionable technical tasks, ensuring that all project deliverables meet stringent Departmental standards for security, scalability, and performance.
Proactively identify and mitigate technical and schedule risks, providing the CTO and executive leadership with high-fidelity reporting on project health, milestone progress, and resource utilization.
Serve as the primary technical liaison for the project, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of deliverables into the existing technical architecture.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of experience in project management.
Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Department of War (DoW/DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) environment, with a proven track record of delivering technical milestones on time and within scope.
Demonstrated experience managing project budgets exceeding $5M, including tracking burn rates, resource forecasting, and navigating government/contractor financial reporting cycles.
Experience managing the development of advanced data systems, sensor fusion platforms, or AI/ML-driven analytics, with the ability to lead technical discussions without direct supervision.
Ability to distill complex technical data into executive-level briefings for senior leadership (CTO/Director level), focusing on project health, objective alignment, and risk mitigation.
Experience managing technical resource allocation and task prioritization across concurrent workstreams, ensuring project objectives are met within defined budget and schedule constraints in a high-pressure environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
PMP Certification
Proficiency in both Agile/Scrum and traditional Milestone-driven (Waterfall) project management frameworks, particularly in how they interface with government program requirements.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active / current TS/SCI security clearance in DISS (DoD)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
