MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Platform Engineer, Product Team to join our team.

The Platform Engineer, Product Team will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to onboard and help product teams maintain a production environment, ensuring product success through close collaboration with platform teams while maintaining deep expertise in containerization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for onboarding product teams into the production environment

  • Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot production environments utilizing Kubernetes, OpenShift, and VMWare PKS Essentials

  • Collaborate closely with the core Platform Team to align product team needs with platform capabilities, ensuring seamless integration and success

  • Implement and manage DevSecOps pipelines and workflows using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar CI/CD technologies

  • Develop, test, and maintain containerized applications to ensure high availability, security, and performance

  • Oversee Source Version Control and execute Build/Release methodologies effectively

  • Manage and optimize the software build process for various product teams

  • Documenting system configurations and deployment processes to maintain a robust library of technical documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 4+ years of mid-level experience

  • Proven experience developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift

  • Experienced in providing DevSecOps implementation using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar automation tools.

  • Working knowledge of Source Version Control and Build/Release tools and methodologies.

  • Working knowledge of the Software Build process and its application within a production environment.

  • Strong understanding of product lifecycles, platform architecture, and application containerization

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP certification).

  • Experience wAdvanced knowledge of specific product and platform architectures within secure environments

  • Experience with VMWare PKS Essentials

  • Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS/Azure certifications, or Security+

  • Experience mentoring junior team members and leading technical initiatives with cyber risk and compliance automation tools.

Clearance Requirements:

  • An active Secret clearance is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $137,100.00-$244,100.00.
