Job Description

MANTECH seeks a detail-driven and mission-focused OPERATIONS SPECIALIST to support the G-7 Mission Engineering staff section in STAFFORD, VA.

You will play a central role in coordinating operational functions, synchronizing staff efforts, and driving the integration of mission engineering efforts in support of training and mission readiness objectives. This is a critical opportunity to ensure alignment across planning, resourcing, and execution functions while working within a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting daily operational oversight for G-7 section functions, ensuring synchronization across planning, training integration, and support elements

  • Tracking tasks, suspense dates, and deliverables while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper coordination

  • Managing calendars, meeting schedules, and agendas for G-7 leadership and supporting the coordination of internal and external stakeholder engagements

  • Preparing executive-level briefings, reports, and read-ahead materials that capture and communicate G-7 operational priorities

  • Coordinating with subordinate commands and higher headquarters for mission engineering and modeling and simulation (M&S) task execution and reporting

  • Serving as a key integrator for operational plans, resources, and timelines within the G-7

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant administrative or operational coordination experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in operational task tracking, coordination, and reporting within a military or government environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and comfortable working with task management and document tracking tools

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing briefings and reports for senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting mission engineering, analytical efforts or G-7 operations within a military command

  • Familiarity with Marine Corps or Joint training processes, M&S tools, or operational planning systems

  • Experience working in a fast-paced staff environment with dynamic mission requirements

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have active SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance with SAP access

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift to 50 pounds. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations


The projected compensation range for this position is $68,600.00-$114,100.00.
