MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented OPERATIONS MANAGER  to join our team to support the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) Science & Technology (S&T) Division Ground Combat Element (GCE) / Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) branches in STAFFORD, VA.

The successful candidate will work directly with Government Branch Leadership and Contractor Project Managers to drive the strategic planning, programming, scheduling, and execution of multiple projects. This role serves as the integrator for the branch, someone who enables Leadership and Technical Project Managers to focus on execution while ensuring planning, coordination, reporting, scheduling, and administrative processes run efficiently across the portfolio.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support for operational planning activities across the branch by organizing planning documents, maintaining records, tracking action items, and assisting with the coordination of branch initiatives to meet U.S. Marine Corps strategic objectives.
  • Maintain portfolio documentation, update tracking tools and databases, prepare reports and status updates, and assist with monitoring project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to support branch leadership and project managers.
  • Assist project managers with Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) activities by helping to maintain budget documentation, tracking financial data, and preparing budget reports.
  • Maintain branch calendars and integrated schedules. Prepare correspondence, briefing materials, reports, spreadsheets, and presentation packages; maintain electronic files and records in support of branch operations.
  • Serve as liaison for internal and external stakeholders by coordinating communications, scheduling meetings, routing documents for review and approval, and facilitating information sharing across functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Public Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), federal government, or defense contractor programs with technical or engineering teams. A total of 10 years’ experience without a degree.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership through planning, reporting, scheduling, and coordination activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting U.S. Marine Corps or Department of Defense acquisition programs.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification is desirable but not required.
  • Experience supporting autonomous systems, robotics, unmanned systems, or emerging technology programs.
  • Experience with various contracting strategies and vehicle types.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,100.00.
