MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network/System Administrator II to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

The Network/System Administrator II will leverage their strong technical background to support Special Access Programs (SAPs) and other classified networks. You will provide essential day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities, ensuring secure and reliable operations within a dedicated office environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Installing, maintaining, auditing, and supporting a secure MS Windows network environment and associated web/data application services.
  • Maintaining file servers, firewalls, network access, and security monitoring systems while ensuring all system documentation remains current.
  • Interfacing directly with local customers and program managers to provide rapid IT support and resolve technical issues during requirement meetings.
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance and minimal downtime for mission-critical systems.
  • Performing periodic hardware upgrades, firmware updates, and system configuration changes to maintain robust system baselines.
  • Managing data backup libraries and performing scheduled tape backups to include secure off-site storage as required.
  • Preparing systems for operational use and providing technical guidance during operational tests to ensure all requirements are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area additional 4 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of total experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience specifically supporting SCI or SAP environments.
  • Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA, or CySA+) within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience with the installation and maintenance of secure MS Windows network environments and internet protocols like TCP/IP and HTTPS.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex system anomalies and performing hardware/software configuration management tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applicable Windows professional certifications based on specific organizational operating system requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration, Microsoft Exchange, and associated hardware.
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, COMSEC integration, and data backup technologies.
  • Familiarity with JAFAN 6/0, ICDs, and Joint DODIIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards.

Clearance Requirements:

  • An active TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility
  • Candidates must be eligible for access to Special Access Programs.
  • Willingness to submit to a polygraph is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and install computer equipment.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000.00-$141,600.00.
