MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in either Las Cruces, New Mexico or Denver, CO. In this role, you will support enterprise Linux environments and data center infrastructure while helping ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and efficient. You will work closely with technical teams and customers to maintain systems, automate operational tasks, and provide hands-on support across physical, virtual, and cloud-based platforms.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments across physical, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructure supporting the daily operation and continuous improvement of Linux-based infrastructure and data center environments while ensuring systems remain reliable, documented, and aligned with mission needs
  • Assisting users with application, account, hardware, and system-related issues while ensuring timely resolution
  • Building, maintaining, updating, and retiring virtual, physical, and cloud-based Red Hat and Windows hosts
  • Maintaining and supporting enterprise storage systems and hardware including servers, workstations, and network equipment
  • Provisioning and decommissioning project resources such as Kubernetes namespaces, servers, and user workstations
  • Performing data center operations including inventory, racking and cabling, hardware troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Implementing security controls, maintaining documentation, and developing automation solutions to improve system efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant technical experience to include Linux administration experience along with the ability to support enterprise infrastructure and data center operations.
  • Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments in enterprise or mission-critical settings
  • Hands-on experience supporting physical and virtual infrastructure within data center environments
  • Experience deploying and maintaining servers, workstations, and associated infrastructure components
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure services
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce clear and usable technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates with additional experience supporting modern infrastructure technologies and enterprise environments will be well positioned for success in this role.
  • Experience supporting Kubernetes or containerized environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage platforms such as IBM ESS
  • Experience supporting mixed Linux and Windows enterprise environments
  • Experience developing automation scripts or tools to streamline administrative tasks

Clearance Requirements:

  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside office and data center environments to access equipment, racks, and hardware systems.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,100.00.
