MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The Systems Engineer III focuses on DoD 5000.02 artifacts and documentation to perform requirements analysis, including the decomposition of high-level requirements into artifacts assignable during agile program increments and sprints

  • Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement

  • Interact with Project Teams regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts, and communicate with other technical project personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives

  • Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with 1 or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC 15288, including the Technical Process, Enterprise Process, and Agreement Process Areas

  • Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as Systems Engineering Plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents, ensuring alignment with architectural frameworks such as the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)

  • Ensure regulatory and requirements compliance of IT systems

  • The Systems Engineer III provides direction and mentorship to subordinate staff

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in field necessary to assume Systems Engineer duties a degree can be substituted for additional experience.

  • High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree

  • A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.

  • Five years of position-specific relevant experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DoD programs. Experience with IT systems and cloud-based technologies. Experience with systems modeling and simulation tools. Experience with risk management methodologies and their application in systems engineering. In-depth knowledge of specific technical domains (e.g., network engineering, software development, cybersecurity). INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP). DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification. ITIL Foundation certificate. CSEP. Project Management Professional (PMP) Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master).

  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be eligible for or have a current/active Top Secret Eligible clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
