MANTECH seeks a motivated, career customer-oriented Junior Software Developer to join our team in St Inigoes, MD. This is an Onsite position.
You will work on an integrated development team through all phases of the software development life cycle, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of fielded and future Navy combat identification systems and IFF interfaces.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conducting innovative software development solutions for various Navy identification systems
Executing scientific, engineering, and technical services required for the design, development, integration, and testing of combat systems
Analyzing technology and capability gaps to research, develop, and deploy software solutions
Collaborating with other developers and project leads to design, optimize, and define associated deliverables
Conducting integration, testing, bug fixes, and other software maintenance activities.
Assisting in the creation of technical documentation and user guides in support of developed software
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
1+ years of experience in software development
Applied experience programming in a Linux environment
Applied experience with C/C++ and Java
Experience working in an agile development environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Wireshark and Eclipse IDE for development
Experience using SVN for source code configuration management
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen and possess a current/active Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, computer printer, and copy machine.
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
The projected compensation range for this position is $65,000.00-$107,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
