MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Environmental Planner to join our team working in Solana Beach, CA. This is an onsite position. This is a temporary role lasting approximately 3-6 months with the opportunity to come onboard permanently.
This role is designed for an emerging professional eager to gain hands-on experience in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process and support Department of War environmental compliance. You will work directly under the guidance of Project Managers, contributing to the preparation of Environmental Assessments (EA), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), other regulatory compliance documents, and daily, weekly, and monthly project management tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide administrative and technical support to Project Managers.
Assist in developing NEPA and other regulatory compliance documents (e.g., EAs, EISs, Biological Assessments, and Coastal Zone Management Act Determinations).
Support the evaluation of project-related effects on natural and human resources
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, environmental planning, natural resources management, engineering, geology, biology or similar discipline.
0+ years of experience related to environmental sciences
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance processes (e.g., NEPA, Endangered Species Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act)
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $45,400.00-$74,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
