Description & Requirements
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team working in Crane, IN. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conduct various electrical or mechanical tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment and records test data.
Extract and compile a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, processing data, identifying errors or inconsistencies, selecting methods of data presentation.
Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of undersea sensor equipment or component parts, developing information concerning previous operational failures and modifications, and using judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Electronics or a related technical discipline, or a High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of electronics test and troubleshooting experience in lieu of Associates degree
2+ years of relevant electronics test and troubleshooting experience
Must have prior soldering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting SOCOM workload
Experience supporting NSWC Crane
Experience providing technical oversight and leadership to a team
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain an active United States Government Secret security clearance.
Candidate will be required to obtain an interim Secret clearance before onboarding
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
