Description & Requirements
MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Electronic Technician to join our team in San Diego, CA. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support teams performing installs, maintenance, repairs, overhauls, troubleshooting, and the tests of electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and related devices
Troubleshoot field equipment failures, documentation of maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting or assessment of electronic equipment
Work and perform at government and contractor facilities with little supervision, receiving technical guidance from project managers, where awareness is critical, and the highest level of safety and caution must be exercised to eliminate risk
Working alongside engineers to design, build and test solutions to a variety of technical problems
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and manuals related to engineering projects
Analyze operations and offering suggestions for improvement
Perform research, writing, editing, and revising of Navy technical documents
Perform field validations of various watercraft and equipment
Ability to read and comprehend preventive maintenance documents and procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
4+ years of professional experience as an Engineering Technician
Demonstrated technical experience with AC/DC circuits, and HF/VHF/UHF installation and/or troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications:
Education or formal training in electronics to include electronic equipment installation soldering, cable dressing, and building/repairing connectors
Experience with RF Connectors
Clearance Requirements:
Must be US Citizen and possess an Active Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
Climb and descend ladders
Ability to work in confined spaces
The projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
