MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Engineering Project Analyst to join our team in Lexington Park, MD. This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days onsite per week.

The Engineering Support Analyst will provide direct support to the Unmanned Maritime Control System (UMCS) Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) and Deputy APMSE within the Systems Engineering Department (SED), PMA-268 at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. You will support key engineering processes, technical event planning, staffing tracking, and cross-team communication across Government and Lead System Integrator (LSI) contractor teams.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate, lead, and participate in weekly team-level and sub-level meetings, capturing actionable action items and providing detailed meeting minutes.

  • Manage calendars, schedules, and leave tracking for the APMSE, DAPMSEs, and the broader engineering team for upcoming technical events and milestones.

  • Compile and analyze data from multiple sources (briefs, spreadsheets, action items) to draft high-level briefs, technical memos, and responses for Executive and Level 1 data calls.

  • Support engineering operational planning, including tracking staffing requirements, vacancy monitoring, and managing Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) items.

  • Monitor and coordinate key technical deliverables and airworthiness efforts, including Flight Clearance tools, CDRL reviews, and Airworthiness Qualification Matrix artifacts.

  • Manage access, permissions, and routing within Government and Contractor information systems (e.g., EXOSTAR, FLEX, iTRACK, PLM, SharePoint) while tracking engineering travel requests and cross-support activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • 5+ years of recent and relevant project and/or program analyst experience supporting a DoD contract

  • Demonstrated experience with Systems Engineering processes and practical process implementation.

  • Experience developing and executing integrated government schedules, acquisition strategies, and/or sound engineering plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting NAVAIR acquisition programs and utilization of NAVAIR Management Tools.

  • Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience with a focus on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated toolsets.

  • Experience coordinating and participating in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs) in accordance with DoD 5000 and SECNAV instructions.

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship required and a current or active Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $88,200.00-$147,200.00.
