MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Electrical Management Analyst to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This is a hybrid position with onsite presence expected once a month.

Candidate will serve as a senior technical authority supporting U.S. Navy small boats and craft, providing advanced engineering and lifecycle sustainment for NSWC Combatant Craft Division. Candidate will collect, review, and analyze information to develop solutions to problems and make recommendations to the Government following its mission, the relationship it has with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Complete complex calculation work for load analysis assessments

  • Develop new concepts instead of duplicating pre-existing systems and drawings

  • Create electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams in technical drawings using AutoCAD

  • Design and modify power distribution, communications and control systems for shipboard systems

  • Perform electrical load calculations, equipment sizing, and equipment specifications

  • Ensure all designs adhere to ABYC, Navy and DoD electrical codes

  • Conduct site visits in the Norfolk, VA area to verify as-built conditions and validate design concepts

  • Report findings and recommendations to the Government, usually in writing, but also verbally during ship checks

  • Collaborate with engineers and waterfront technician teams to resolve design conflicts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field, or a High School Diploma and 6+ years of experience in lieu of degree

  • 2+ years of experience with electrical systems, understanding of electrical theory, Navy shipboard systems, and/or electrical code requirements

  • Experience utilizing AutoCAD to generate high-quality engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics based on "as-built" documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical degree or certification

  • Experience with Navy small boats

  • 3+ years of electrical systems experience

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a computer 40 hours per week (work from home) some weeks, and in other weeks, attend a half-day trip locally to conduct a boat check. Boat access may require climbing a ladder


The projected compensation range for this position is $70,200.00-$117,000.00.
