MANTECH seeks motivated, career, and customer-oriented Data Scientist for a new initiative within the National Capital Region. This effort supports the rapid design, deployment, operation, and sustainment of enterprise-scale AI, data, and mission platform capabilities across cloud, edge, and classified operational environment.
This role supports mission analytics, AI-enabled workflows, predictive analytics, and operational intelligence applications. You will translate raw data into actionable insights, focusing on data science solutions for the mission.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Apply advanced statistical analysis and predictive analytics techniques to complex mission datasets.
Develop and deploy models for entity resolution, graph analytics, and operational intelligence.
Design and implement AI-enabled workflows and applications to enhance mission efficiency.
Focus on Explainable AI (XAI) to ensure model transparency, interpretability, and responsible use.
Utilize Python AI ecosystems and LLM frameworks (PyTorch, Scikit-learn) for model development and implementation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a quantitative field.
4 or more years of experience in data science, machine learning, or operational intelligence.
Proficiency in Python and relevant analytical libraries (e.g., PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
Experience with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and deploying models to production.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define and measure operational value.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Large Language Model (LLM) frameworks and fine-tuning techniques.
Familiarity with geospatial analytics tools.
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant quantitative discipline.
Clearance Requirements:
For onsite work, a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph will be required.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
The projected compensation range for this position is $114,600.00-$190,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
