Description & Requirements
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented entry level Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Technician to join our team working in the Washington D.C. Navy Yard. This will be a hybrid position where the employee must be in office at least 1 time per week.
The computer-aided design (CAD) Technician in this position will assist in the development and maintenance of the Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK 2 to support system installations and upgrades on United States Aircraft Carriers and Amphibious ship platforms.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Under the supervision of a senior engineer, utilize CAD software to develop ICDs showing the interfaces between various components of the combat system on US Navy ships.
Review existing ICDs and related drawings and provide comments on drawing accuracy.
Interface with various Navy customers to obtain technical information needed to assist in ICD development and updating.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent education
Must possess some demonstratable experience using 2D CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Edge, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Office suite
Experience with Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity/experience with Navy combat systems
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo software
Knowledge/experience with 3D CAD software
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current or active United States Government Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $60,100.00-$99,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
