MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in San Diego, CA. This position is onsite.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide analysis and recommendations to support engineering, technical, and administrative services for developing CVN (Carrier Vessel Nuclear) Maintenance Availability Work Packages (AWP)
Assist in screening routine and emergent work to maintenance providers
Assist Ship’s Force in developing and Maintenance Planning Manager (MPM) in screening CSMP entries
Track readiness of Ship Change Documents (SCDs)
Assist in planning and scheduling of CVN maintenance and repairs
Assist in screening work items to repair activities
Track and report status of active CVN CASREPs. Work with stakeholders to share information on coordination of onboard, telephone, and e-mail technical assistance
Monitor CVN Steam Plant Action Requests (SPARs) and Steam Plant Liaison Inquires (SPLIs) for technical direction necessitating Intermediate or Depot level repair actions and coordinate as necessary
Willingness to travel
Minimum Qualifications:
15+ years minimum experience in Navy ship maintenance, aircraft carrier repair, maintenance, and modernization in support of Navy, Program Office, and Type Commander programs
5+ years’ in tandem of experience planning and coordinating ship repair and maintenance
3+ years minimum experience in TYCOM staff procedures or current experience in role
Knowledge of Type Commander, shipboard, regional maintenance center and Naval Sea Systems Command organizations and functions related to ship maintenance and modernization
Ability to communicate and interface with senior Navy personnel (06/GS-15) on a routine basis
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Naval CVN or Naval Nuclear Maintenance experience inclusive of Naval Submarine Nuclear standards
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be capable to go onboard a ship in an operational and industrial environment.
Able to climb ladders and go through scuttles onboard vessels
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual.
The projected compensation range for this position is $77,200.00-$128,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
