MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Artificial Intelligence Expert to join our team in Quantico, Virginia.

The artificial intelligence expert will assist the Director of the Futures Division in the execution of his core mission to determine risks and opportunities of various future operating environments and inform CG, MCWL/Dir, FD decisions on future concepts and capability investments to increase USMC success in the 10 to 20-year time horizon.

This is a temporary part time on-call position not to last beyond 31 December 2026. Total hours is 240 hours, roughly 5 hours per week

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Refine a multi-large language model (LLM), technology horizon-scanning web application tool accessible via NIPR on an external website.

  • Develop a reports process on the tool which will allow for the export of clean pdfs for DOTS to classified networks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology related to LLM and at least 7 years’ experience with  web application tool building or proven experience successfully completing a project such as described in the responsibilities listed above.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Marine Corps warfighting concepts, current Marine Corps Force Design, and associated Navy, Joint, and Department of Defense (DOD) capabilities development processes.

  • Knowledge of Futures-related work and structured analytic techniques to include horizon scanning.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Candidate must have an active current TS/SCI security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • This position will require regular field work.  Candidates must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in environments that may include uneven terrain, varying weather conditions, lifting equipment and tools up to 40lbs
