MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Accounting Senior Manager to join our team at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. This is an onsite position.
In this role, you will lead financial operations in support of Department of Defense (DoD) accounting services. You will manage cradle-to-grave accounting tasks, support audit resolution efforts, and drive improvements across financial reconciliation, collection processing, and revenue analysis efforts.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Performing day-to-day cradle-to-grave accounts receivable tasks, including collection efforts, analyzing trading partner agreements and coordinating interagency payment reconciliations
Processing no-check-drawn collections and charges to DoD trading partners and performing follow-up on aged or delinquent accounts receivable documents
Reviewing and processing adjustment transactions for unearned revenue against canceling appropriations and processing collection vouchers for incoming customer orders and contract refunds from vendors
Handling accounts payable transactions tied to customer order activity, external organizational requests and processing and reconciling monthly interest penalty payment distributions
Recording obligation documents against existing MIPRs (Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests)
Assisting in documentation and monitoring of audit discrepancies and resolution through the Corrective Action Plan process
Leading early fiscal year-end closeout of commitments, budget authority, and unearned revenue
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 additional years)
4 + years of experience in DoD accounting processing
2 + years of experience working in an SAP environment
Ability to perform SQL queries for accounting system analysis, data research, journal entries, and issue analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading accounting operations in a DoD or federal environment
Familiarity with fiscal year-end closeout practices and audit remediation efforts
Experience supporting accounting system configuration and process automation initiatives
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active Secret clearance, with JAFAN eligibility
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
The projected compensation range for this position is $88,200.00-$147,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
