MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented AI Architect to join our team full-time and 100% remote.

MANTECH is supporting the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) by developing a Cost Estimation AI-enabled project, highlighting the ability to deliver Agentic AI and Human-AI Teaming capabilities. We have successfully developed and validated an innovative secure AI solution that reshapes workflow efficiency by replacing manual, high-variability processes with a predictive, agent-driven capability. You will lead the frontier of autonomous computing, moving beyond simple chatbots to build Agentic AI systems capable of reasoning, planning, and executing complex, multi-step tasks with minimal human intervention. You will design the brains that interact with the real world through tools, APIs, and sophisticated feedback loops.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead a team of Developers and Data Engineers in building agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain, or CrewAI) that uses iterative reasoning and planning
  • Lead the frontier of autonomous computing, moving beyond simple chatbots to build Agentic AI systems capable of reasoning, planning, and executing complex, multi-step tasks with minimal human intervention
  • Design the brains that interact with the real world through tools, APIs, and sophisticated feedback loops
  • Drive the architecture and delivery of Human-AI Teaming capabilities for the AFCEC Cost Estimation project
  • Replace manual, high-variability processes with predictive, agent-driven capabilities to reshape workflow efficiency
  • Architect and deploy secure, scalable AI solutions tailored for government and defense environments

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or experience
  • 12+ years of experience
  • Experience utilizing government-standard AI/Data platforms or enterprise-scale BI tools in a federal setting
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying advanced AI architectures and machine learning solutions
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Experience building and integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and utilizing frameworks such as LangChain

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Air Force projects, specifically related to cost estimation or civil engineering
  • Expertise in Agentic AI, autonomous computing, and Human-AI teaming methodologies
  • Experience with secure AI deployments and navigating federal compliance and security standards

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations


The projected compensation range for this position is $148,200.00-$263,000.00.
