MANTECH seeks an innovative AI Application Developer to join our team on site in Northern VA. In this role you will develop advanced applications that leverage Generative AI and traditional Machine Learning models.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design and code complex applications using GenAI APIs to create autonomous agents capable of multi-step reasoning and decision-making.
• Use libraries like Pandas and NumPy to manipulate, clean, and structure high-volume datasets for efficient ingestion by ML models and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Develop secure, scalable applications on cloud systems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) that integrate external APIs and internal ML models.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code that focuses on application logic and model interaction.
• Collaborate with data scientists to implement and wrap ML models into functional application features.
• Implement specific retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows to ground AI responses in customer data.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related technical field and 8 or more years of software development experience with a primary focus on Python.
• Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analysis libraries, specifically Pandas and Numpy.
• Demonstrated experience building applications that utilize Machine Learning models or Generative AI/LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock).
• Experience developing applications within a major Cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks, e.g. LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Experience building Agentic Workflows (autonomous agents that can use tools/functions).
• Familiarity with Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, pgvector).
• Experience developing RESTful APIs using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have an active TS with SCI eligibility

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
